Chokecherry is a deciduous shrub or small tree belonging to the rose family, native to Montana. It is aptly named for the extremely tart/acidic taste of its reddish cherries. They are nature's super-fruit. We like to pick them next to creek beds or old farm roads. Makes a great addition to smoothies, pancakes, adult grilled cheese sandwiches, peanut butter sandwiches, and of course, toast.
Our French-style preserves are soft and full of fruit without a heavy pectin texture.
Ingredients: wild chokecherries, organic cane sugar, lemon juice, green apple (natural pectin).
Available in two sizes: 2.4 oz. or 8.5 oz.
Perishable once opened, keep refrigerated, and consume within 8 weeks of opening.
